Description:Research Question The proposed project is aimed to developing a theoretical framework for economic valuation of travel time variability taking into account the endogeneity of scheduling preferences and the social value of delays. The main research questions are: How scheduling preferences for trips to/from common activities can be characterized? How the travel time variability shall be evaluated when the purpose of the travel is a common activity requiring participation of a number of travellers? How the welfare of participants is affected by changes in travel time variability of particular travellers?
