Revision of paper “Estimating preferred departure times of road users in a large urban network”

Project Number: 383

Project Leader: Ida Kristoffersson

Start Date: 2014-06-01

End Date: 2014-12-31

Research Question Departure time choice modelling relies heavily on car-users preferred times of travel and without knowledge of these no meaningful conclusions can be drawn from application of the model. In the paper it is shown how preferred times of travel can be derived from field observations and conditional probabilities of departure times in a consistent way using a reverse engineering approach.
